Refund policy

Thank you for shopping at Sunset Pour. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help. Our goal is to ensure your handcrafted candles bring warmth to your home, but we understand that sometimes a return is necessary.

1. Return Window

We offer a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

2. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for a return, your item must meet the following conditions:

  • Condition: The candle must be unused, unlit, and in the same condition that you received it.
  • Packaging: It must be in its original packaging.
  • Proof of Purchase: You must provide the receipt or proof of purchase (order confirmation email).

Note: For health and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns for candles that have been lit or used.

3. Damaged or Defective Items

Since candles are fragile, we take great care in packaging. However, if your order arrives damaged (e.g., broken glass) or has a manufacturing defect:

  • Please inspect your order upon reception.
  • Contact us immediately at support@sunsetpour.com within 7 days of delivery.
  • Include photos of the damaged item and the shipping box.
  • We will provide a replacement or a full refund for any items damaged during transit at no additional cost to you.

4. Return Process

To start a return, please use our Returns Center (available on our website) or follow these steps:

  1. Visit our Returns Center page and enter your order number and email address.
  2. Select the item(s) you wish to return and the reason for the return.
  3. Once your request is approved, we will send you instructions on how and where to send your package.

Please do not send items back to us without first requesting a return through our system.

5. Return Shipping Costs

  • Defective/Damaged Items: If the return is due to our error or a damaged product, Sunset Pour will provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost.
  • Customer Preference: For returns due to personal preference (e.g., "Scent not as expected" or "Changed mind"), the customer is responsible for paying the return shipping costs. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

6. Restocking Fees

We do not charge any restocking fees for returned items.

7. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

  • Approved: Your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment (Shopify Payments).
  • Timeline: Please allow 5–7 business days for the refund to appear in your bank account, depending on your financial institution.

8. Non-Returnable Items

  • Final Sale Items: Items marked as "Final Sale" cannot be returned.
  • Gift Cards: Gift cards are non-refundable.
  • Unscented Candles: While we accept returns for these, they must strictly follow the "unused" rule.
